So, here is this little knick-knack I found at an estate sale.
. . . Yes, I'll explain what it is later . . . but first a word about estate sales. Super for frugal ones like me. You can get all sorts of household goods. Unless you know of something in particular you are looking for, try to go on the last day. Things are usually at least half off. It is also a good time for beginning pickers to inquire about items not actually on sale. "hey, could I dig up some uf that rhubarb?" or "Are you just going to toss those old iron fences pieces?" More than likely, you'll score. They do after all want the house EMPTY. . . OK, back to my find. I think it may have been a lamp. I am going to re-purpose it and use as a jewlery tree! I saw a similar one in a Pottery Barn catalogue. Needless to say it was obsenely expensive. Plus, I hate their paper(tree) wasting ad campaigns.
I am going to add some knobs, maybe some color and the "after" photo will be forthcoming!! - :) Laura
