This lamp I picked up in Indiana when we went to Nashville this summer. the wire was actually still good, so it just needed a plug and socket. |
The thing that sold me on this lamp was that the original shade was in perfect shape. |
The next few pictures are other lamps I have collected over the years. I like unique shapes, this one is wood. |
Besides lighting, I love old paintings. |
These lights are paired with, a painting of of my daughters 20 years ago, pottery one of my daughter made and some garden books and pots. |
I like and size lamps. |
My favorite style is from the 50's, this one came with the original shade as well. It was $1 on ebay. The picture in the background was made by my mother-in-law, a true picker as well. She makes these from leaves she finds in the fall. |
This is just a close up of base. |
Our house had some original lighting already in place, yes some would hate these lamps, I love them. |
Lamp was only a few bucks, table $8, bowl a dollar and fancy T.V. FREE! |
Quality made items retain their charm. |
We have been without a light since we moved into our house, since lighting was on the agenda, I talked my husband into spraying the wasps that had made a home in the poll and go looking for a lamp. |
Unfortunately after a day of flea marketing, we ended up with a new light. I still need to paint and add our address. |
